Hi, we are Maree, Peter & Rhiannon and we believe that the best family holidays are motorhome holidays!
Our business, Family Motorhomes, was created in September 2010, to offer families, couples, travellers, an affordable motorhome holiday experience. We are currently based close to the Gold Coast Airport, Coolangatta, Queensland, Australia. For long term hires of 13 weeks+ duration, we also service the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Ipswich, Lismore, Ballina, Byron Bay and Murwullimbah regions (please check with us if your location is not listed here and we'll see what we can do for you).
Our inspiration is our gorgeous daughter, Rhiannon. We wanted a holiday option that allowed everyone to have a great time. So, we stock the motorhome with:
- Age appropriate games for the kids
- Books for your reading pleasure
- A welcome pack including bathroom products and tea / coffee / milk / sugar
- Outside table and camp chairs
- Easy to read step-by-step guide with pictures of how to assemble beds, open and close awning safely, operate appliances, etc
- Unpack once;
- Have easy access to toilet facilities night and day (no more public toilets - yeah!);
- Settle the children into a consistent night time environment;
- Have absolute flexibility. Raining here? Keep driving until you find the sunshine!
- Have your own space. Make a holiday out of a visit to family and friends and have your own space / beds upon arrival;
- Not' "rack up" the kilometers on your own vehicle
- Not have to prepare your vehicle for the trip (including savings on any regular or additional servicing, wear and tear on your vehicle including tyres, etc)
- Make it what ever you want it to be. Complete relaxation at a nearby holiday park, family fun on the road, a long term holiday at an easy pace enjoying some of the fantastic scenery Australia has to offer, the "Big Lap" of Australia, travel to a special event including accommodation once you arrive, an indulgent romantic escape to winery regions or beachside locations, just the sheer pleasure of only planning your start and finish locations and having the flexibility to choose where to go and what to do at whim!

Our Vehicles
Enjoy travelling in a Family Motorhomes spacious 6 berth motorhome.
We currently have 3 vehicles on offer with 2 different configurations (please refer to photos).
Features include:
- Bedding for up to 6 persons (3 x beds)
- Seating for 6 persons whilst driving including 2 x child car seat anchor points
- Toilet and shower
- Easy to drive Mercedes Benz with automatic transmission or "gutsy" Ford Transit with 6 speed manual transmission (you can drive with a standard car licence, no light rigid licence required!)
